DEI WEBSITE UPDATES

The DOJ gave UVA a May 2nd deadline to implement the DEI changes that were expected to happen after March 7th BOV vote.
Some have change and some have not. Here’s where they are currently.

UVA Education

April 6: DEI website and office exists, including affiliated subpages  UVA School of Education and Human Development

April 16: CHANGE Website access denied Access Denied | UVA School of Education and Human Development  https://education.virginia.edu/about/diversity-equity-and-inclusion

May 2nd: Now it just redirects back to the front page of the Education school


UVA School of Medicine

April 6: Office of DEI website exists, including the subpages of Diversity Overview,  various Resource pages, and a news section: Home - Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

April 6: URL is Graddiversity.virginia.edu and page is called the Graduate and Postdoctoral Diversity Programs with and About subpage describing the Diversity program About | Graduate Outreach and Engagement

April 16: URL is still the same. Title of the page has changed to Graduate Outreach and Engagement Homepage | Graduate Outreach and Engagement. All other copy is the same except “Graduate Outreach and Engagement” is substituted for DEI as needed

Student Affairs: Diversity and Inclusion

April 6: A page entitled “Inclusive Excellence” About Darden - Inclusive Excellence | UVA Darden School of Business  describes their excellence framework that helps “infuse inclusion and belonging into every aspect of our operation and culture.”
